"Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it."
SAVE FERRIS was a slogan used in the 1986 movie Ferris Bueller's Day Off, starring Matthew Broderick and directed by John Hughes, who also created other classic 1980's teen movies such as The Breakfast Club, St Elmo's Fire, Pretty in Pink, Weird Science, Uncle Buck, and many more excellent films that help to define the eighties.
In the movie, Ferris Bueller takes an unscheduled day off from high school using a series of ingenious tricks and scams to fool his Principal, Ed Rooney (Jeffrey Jones).
Ferris also "breaks out" his girlfriend, Sloane (Mia Sara), and best friend, Cameron (Alan Ruck), and then "borrows" Cameron's dad's Ferrari 250 GT California for a wild day in the city.
Somehow, a rumor starts back at school that Ferris needs a new kidney, and the popular student becomes the focus of a campaign to "Save Ferris", with students collecting money saying things like, "A group of us are collecting money to buy Ferris Bueller a new kidney. Save Ferris?" - one student even solicits Ferris' bitter sister Jeannie, who is unimpressed to say the least.
This unforgettable movie was undoubtedly one fo the coolest films of the 1980's, and with this design, you can take a little of that coolness for yourself!
