The German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche famously said "That which does not kill us, makes us stronger". It's a good quote to take with you into the gym, especially at those times when the going gets tough and that small voice inside suggests that you quit.
Every session you put in at the gym will bring benefits, even the ones where you feel that you haven't had the best workout becuase you were tired or couldn't get into the swing of it. Even Olympic athletes have bad days and off-form days, and it's worth remembering that the only reason we know what a good day feels like is because we can compare it to a bad day.
